The sick came to Jesus to be healed. “If only I can touch His cloak, I shall be cured,” said the woman suffering hemorrhages for twelve years (Matthew 9:21). Through the ordained priest, Jesus again touches the sick in the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. This Sacrament is for Catholics who are: gravely ill and/or have chronic affliction(s); in danger of death due to sickness or old age; to undergo a serious operation.
